The Company was formed in 1989 by the Bennett family as a business specialising in Tapes, Adhesives, Abrasives and Packaging Materials and boast being 3M’s No.1 partner on-line, www.vikingtapes.co.uk, and classed as a 3M preferred distributor for the UK.

Specialising in technical bonding tapes, masking and packaging tapes, printed, hazard tapes plus contact and two part adhesives and sealants within the UK and worldwide.

Including a bespoke slitting facility for those non manufactured sizes. 

Industry sectors include aerospace, automotive, printing, sign making, point of sale, manufacturing and engineering.   Complete peace of mind is assured by our aerospace approved AS9120 Quality Standard. 

After being guided and nurtured by the Bennett family for 35 years, in late 2024 Viking was acquired by TECHSil Ltd and integrated into the TECHSil family of companies.  Being a long standing and trusted partner of Viking’s, TECHSil was a natural cultural and strategic fit to provide long term growth and support for Customers and Suppliers and bring Viking up to the next corporate level, backed by a larger Speciality Adhesive Group.

TECHSil, are ultimately backed by Diploma Plc and were founded in 1989 also and are part of Diploma Plc’s ‘Controls’ sector.  Although initially specialising in technical silicones, TECHSil have grown to encompass many more specialist adhesive technologies including thermal management, TECHSil’s main markets are Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Manufacturing, Engineering and many more.
