3M™ 8953 Mono Filament Tape
3M™ 8953 Mono Filament Tape is a general-purpose utility packaging tape reinforced with continuous glass filaments which give tensile strength to the tape. The ScotchPro™ polypropylene backing provides abrasion, moisture resistance, and scuff resistance. The adhesive is formulated to adhere adequately to fibreboard surfaces.
Application of 8953 is most easily accomplished at room temperature. Once applied, 8953 performs well throughout the normal temperature ranges typically encountered by packaged products in shipping and storage environments.
