3M™ Polyester Film Tape 850
Our 3M™ Polyester Film Tape 850 is for marking splice locations where rapid adhesion, a durable hold and chemical resistance are required. It can be used for splicing of movie film, defect flagging, marking, label protection, colour coding and sealing. This tape has a long-term hold, ensuring it can be relied upon to last the duration for whatever application it is used.
This polyester film tape’s pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive promises a rapid hold and will also remove cleanly, without leaving residue. The backing of this tape is a transparent polyester with a thin layer of aluminium that enables automatic splice detection. This polyester film tape also has a high tear resistance, in addition to being chemical, solvent and abrasion resistant – all of which guarantee long-lasting durability and performance in a wide range of applications.
Additionally, this product has been designed to be both thin – and therefore meet low caliper requirements and not affect or impede most machinery processes – and reliably strong. It can operate effectively at a wide range of temperatures: it remains securely fastened at ambient conditions of between -50°C and 150°C.
To ensure the optimum performance of this film tape, it should be stored at between 16°C and 27°C and 40% to 60% relative humidity. We also recommend avoiding the exposure of this tape to direct sunlight, as it can damage the polyester backing and cause the tape to lose tensile strength.
This polyester film tape comes in a roll length of 66m.
