3M™ 7952 (467) Double Linered Laminating Adhesive
3M™ 7952 (467) Double Linered Laminating Adhesive provides a long-term, environmentally stable bond. The smooth adhesive provides a high-quality appearance on thin graphic overlays, and the high cohesive strength to withstand repeated stresses from switch activation. This laminating adhesive withstands high temperature, high humidity, and is chemical-resistant. The adhesive is very resistant to oxidisation and ozone when exposed to air or UV light.
Suitable applications for 3M™ 7952 (467) include attachment of graphic overlay to membrane switch or keyboard, attachment of membrane switch to product housing and lamination to polyester for membrane spacers.
This tape has very good solvent resistance when correctly applied to various materials. Although it will resist adhesive softening on edge contact with tougher solvents such as mild acids, oil, gasoline or even kerosene, it will not be able to withstand total immersion or prolonged exposure.
The strength of the bond will dependent on how much pressure is added during application. For better results we recommend that firmer pressure is applied as it will develop a better and more permanent bond.
